Perhaps it's just the posture and her particular facial expression here, but I think this expresses it far more clearly than "Sera 1.0," if you will. Past Sera always visually had more of an air of nervousness/disbelief, in my mind at least.

ARRRG! That reminds me of something! I don't know what, but the style and her express/posture reminds me of something I've seen somewhere else before.

I like it, but the old design feels like it fits her personality more -- it's not about this version looking more confident, it's about her looking less "spooky yet well-meaning hermit."

*claps* Well this is nice to see! This new style looks pretty nice. I like how you made the design more realistic, yet kept very true to the original feel. I'm really interested to see what some of the other characters look like in this style (especially Tess!).

Oh, and considering that one page in issue 1 of SR, I think we need a picture of this new Sera saying "I no longer look like a muppet" ^-^
